Spring Break. "Grown-up" style.

I remember being in school and having a major countdown for spring break. College. High school. Middle school. Even elementary school... this week off from school was welcomed with great excitement... partially because it often meant heading down to the beach but also because it meant that we were only weeks away from the end of the school year. Being a teacher, the excitement surrounding spring break is still the same. This past week, spring break involved a girls trip down to St. Simon's. Cara, Mallory, Maddie (Mallory and Barrett's new puppy!!), and I fought through hours of traffic on Friday, made a pit-stop in Macon, and finally arrived to the beach around midnight. The week was filled with performances from Mallory's sweet nieces, yummy pizza, even yummier seafood, resume building/editing (I guess that's what happens when you take a "grown up" spring break?), freezy pops and other sweets, finding my dream beach house, Maddie learning how to drive a card and the perfect amount of girlfriend catch-up time.
