A Pinterest Gameday.

Last weekend we headed over to Cara and Frank's to watch the Dawgs take on the Gamecocks. While the game was depressing, the yummy food helped lessen our blues... the Pinterest recipes even received the O's stamp of approval. For the recipes, I made the Rattlesnake bites and the Buffalo Chicken bites. Here is the verdict...

RATTLESNAKE BITES
*click on the picture for the recipe*
Number of Ingredients: 4
Effort: On a scale of 1-10... about a 3
Taste Factor: One a scale of 1-10... about a 7
Changes for Next Time: Maybe add some pepper jack cheese before rolling up
Overall: Definitely making again

BUFFALO CHICKEN BITES
* click on the picture for the recipe*
Number of Ingredients: about 7
Effort: On a scale of 1-10... about a 7... pretty messy
Taste Factor: On a scale of 1-10... about a 9.5 (much better than the dip)
Changes for Next Time: None
Overall: Per Travis's request, making for every football game, party, shower, family gathering, etc.

UGA vs. Buffalo?

As I sat down to type this post, I had to ask Travis to remind me who we played... Our conversation went a little like this...

Me: "Who did we play on Saturday?"
Travis: "Missouri."
Me: "Like Mizzou? But I thought they were the Buffalos?"
Travis: "That's who we played last week."
Me: "Right. Like Buffalo in New York?"
Travis: *NO COMMENT*

Well regardless of the "WHO", the "WHAT" involved heat, football, one of my favorite cities, a little rain shower... oh and did I say heat? Football means fall is right around the corner, our tv will be fixed on ESPN, ESPN2, Fox or CBS on Saturdays/Sundays/Mondays, and I get to spend this 9th football season with my hubby. Thank goodness for football and my date to my first ever UGA football game.

A first.

UGA vs. Kentucky. We got to spend this game with some of our close family friends and their precious kids. I have known Stephanie since the days of middle school when she first walked in to our family. She has been more than my chorus teacher from back in the day, she is one of my mom's closest friends, and now I feel blessed to call her one of my friends, as well. This family will also be a HUGE part of our big day... with Brandon marrying us, Stephanie singing, and Tessa and Eli acting as our flower girl and ring bearer. To say this family is a big part of our lives is more than an understatement. It was so much fun to spend this game with them and get to see Tessa experience her first UGA game. Go Dawgs!

#godawgs

Saturday was a great day to be a Georgia Bulldawg... not only did we beat Auburn, but Travis and I got to hang out with some of our bestest friends. I love how football brings us all back together!

Happy GA/FL.

The real world won out this weekend and instead of heading down to Jacksonville, we cozied up on the couch with two dogs, two of our favorite couples, the soon-to-be-born twins and lots and lots of food. As much as I would have loved to be in Jacksonville, this laid back version of tailgating was absolutely perfect... especially when you throw in all of Bridgette's fabulous fall decor*, amazing kitchen* and breath-taking babies' room*.
*Pictures to come next weekend after her baby shower

Glory, Glory.

There is something about September rolling around, the colors red and black, and making the drive down 316 that makes me oh too excited for another football season. But it isn't just the football that makes me happy... it's having a reason to head back to Athens, walking around campus, eating at the classic Athens restaurants/visiting some new local faves and getting to see some of my bestest friends. September 10th... UGA vs. South Carolina... despite the loss, Travis and I had such a great Saturday driving up with our couplefriendsbestfriends, catching up on life, and then spending time between the fraternity house, walking around downtown, and taking in Sanford Stadium. Thank goodness for football season.
